More on the castle
Before this castle was built, there was a Celtic settlement. In the 17th century a castle was built on these fundaments but broke down in the 18th century. Towards the end of the 18th century everything was renovated and rebuilt to the castle it is today: impressive and charming with 6 spacious and comfortable rooms.
The total estate contained over 1.200 acres of land with farms and houses. The noble family De Charmasse lived for generations in this castle. In the seoncd part of the 20th century most of the land was sold and a total of 7 acres together with the castle and stables lasted. In 2004 it was bought by the young Dutch couple Mark and Esmeralde. Coming from the fashion industry they have a good taste for colours and fabrics.
