Please read the following information carefully before making a booking. By booking via Book-a-castle.com, you will automatically agree to our terms and conditions. If you do not agree with our terms and conditions, we would advise against making a reservation via our site.  

Privacy policy
Book-a-castle.com is careful about observing the privacy of the users of this site and treats all personal details with confidentiality. Any details we obtain from a booking made via our site will not be used for any other purposes. Your details will be passed on to the castle in question. Book-a-castle.com is not responsible for the way its contractors use these details.

Registering
You will need to register before making a booking. You will then be sent an email containing your login details. These details can be changed if you wish. Use the login details when making your booking. This ensures an easy, swift reservation process.  


Reservation system
Reservations are made on the basis of availability. You will be informed of availability within 48 hours of requesting a reservation. Automatic confirmation will be sent if the location is available. This will be followed by official confirmation of reservation for the location. No liability is accepted for rooms or packages reserved or booked without proof of confirmation. You should receive confirmation within 4 working days. Should this not be the case, please send us an e-mail. We will then make sure that you are sent confirmation. You can only exercise rights from the confirmation issued by the castle.

Do not make more than 1 reservation for the same date or location. We will send notification of availability as swiftly as possible. If the location is not available, you can make another reservation straight away.
 
A reservation is a transaction between you, the reserving party, and the location. Book-a-castle.com is merely a mediator between these parties.

No rights may be derived from a request for a reservation. The location owners / operators retain the right to refuse bookings.  

Insurance
Book-a-castle.com is NOT affiliated to ANVR or SGR. You must take care of your own travel or cancellation insurance.  


Cancellations
If a contract is cancelled, the location is entitled to charge a cancellation fee. Every location on our website has its own cancellation conditions. These are sometimes shown on the website. Make sure that you have a copy of these conditions. We would advise you to take out cancellation insurance for every holiday.  The payment and cancellation details are often sent together with the confirmation of reservation. Should this not be the case, you can apply directly to the location.
 

Rates
The rates shown on our website are valid for one calendar year (January – December). If you book for the next year, the rate shown may be subject to a price rise. For some locations, you will see a ‘starting at’ price (depending on the season). Make sure that you calculate the right price before making your reservation. Our system does not show the total amount or the amount related to the season. Unless otherwise stated, prices are per person on the basis of own transport. The location will notify you of the total amount. If we state an incorrect price on our website, the price charged by the location will apply. We try to avoid typing errors and do our utmost to prevent mistakes.  

Our prices are competitive and we frequently offer exclusive packages. Reserving with us costs the same as reserving directly with the location.        


Reservation fees
Unless otherwise stated, in principle we do not charge reservation fees. However, if you book a location provided via Frantour, you will be charged a reservation fee of € 15. This is not stated in the package information. 


Payment
Payments should always be made to the location itself and not to Book-a-castle.com. When confirming your reservation, the location will ask you to make a down payment. Locations are often abroad. You can transfer sums from your current account using the IBAN and BIC number of the country and bank concerned without incurring any further charges for international transfers. If the residual payment is due on arrival at the location, please be aware that many locations do not accept PIN or credit card payments. You should ensure that you have enough cash with you.

All rights reserved. The pictures, logos, texts and information on our website (www.Book-a-castle.com.nl) are protected by Netherlands copyright. No part of this website may be reproduced without the written permission of Book-a-castle.com.  

Liability
Book-a-castle.com does its utmost to present all information on the website as accurately as possible and without mistakes. Book-a-castle.com cannot be held liable for any form of damage (direct/indirect) ensuing from the use of or the inability to use this website. Book-a-castle.com cannot be held liable for the content of this website and or any incorrect information it may contain.
Neither can Book-a-castle.com be held liable for the services provided at the locations. If you are dissatisfied about your stay at one of our locations, you should make this known at the location immediately. We will not be able to help you and we will not accept responsibility after the event. Our contractors will do everything within their power to make your stay as pleasant as possible.


Force majeure
Book-a-castle.com cannot be held liable in the event of force majeure, disaster, fire or other situations resulting in the cancellation of your reservation. Your contract is with the location owner / operator. You can hold this party liable in an emergency.  

Reservations are made at YOUR OWN RISK.

You will only receive our monthly newsletter Châteaux News if you register with our website. Our newsletter contains information about new locations and packages. There is also a competition every month offering a package or other prize to the winner. You are free to cancel your registration for the newsletter at any time.

Book-a-castle.com retains the right to amend the terms and conditions.
