The castle
The ground floor offers a spacious and elegant Louis XVI drawing room, a library and a dining room, all at your disposal. The tower next to the drawing room also has a desk with PC and ADSL internet access fully at your disposal. The tower next to the dining room has a bar, so you can have drinks whenever you want. There are two spacious rooms and four luxury suites, all with a great view of the Breton countryside. Set in fifteen acres of parkland, the chateau maintains the privacy of its guests. Each room is equipped with a safe, satellite television and a stereo. Most rooms have fire places for decorative purposes only. All bathrooms are provided with towels, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer and Rituals bath products.
Surroundings The Coast of Brittany, only one hour away from the château. Both the Emerald Coast and the Morbihan Coast offer beaches, cliff-top scenery, typical fishing ports, historic towns, a wealth of art and culture, and local nature parks. Perfect day trips during your stay at the castle. You have easy access to all the major tourist attractions in the region. The 18 hole golfcourse Golf des Rochers is just a 10 minutes drive away.
History The castle was built between 1852 and 1867 by the Count de Langle, very near a manor house which has been demolished. The architect was Jacques Mellet who also built many other chateaus and churches in Brittany. The De Langle family lived here until WW II. After they left it was uninhabited until 1976. In 2003 it was acquired by two Dutch people who transformed the castle into a luxury Bed & Breakfast.
This castle is closed from 1 December - 31 st of January.
